Prayer Fellowship
Contact: Via Office
On the last Wednesday of every month we have a prayer meeting for about an hour in the Pastoral Room at 7:30 p.m. to pray for the life and work of the Church in Morpeth, our nation and the world.
We pray for the leaders within the Church, the Church family, the many Church organisations, and the various needs of individuals who are known to us in our personal lives, or who have specifically requested prayer, either for themselves or on behalf of others. We try to keep abreast of events and issues experienced by individuals and organisations within our Church e.g. baptisms, weddings, special services, MAYC weekends, fund raising activities, those coping with illness, disability, bereavement, exams, changes in circumstances (such as leaving home for University, starting employment, being unemployed etc.). Local, national and world-wide issues are also remembered in prayer.
The meetings are fairly informal and we are few in number, although everyone is very welcome, so it would be wonderful to share these times with more folk. The more folk, the more inspired, interesting and far reaching the meeting! No one is under pressure to pray aloud or to be an "expert" in prayer. We use a combination of various written materials and spontaneous prayer and usually begin with a hymn/chorus and short reading from Scripture.
In the future we hope to have a facility for all who live in the community, or who visit Morpeth and our Church, whereby prayer requests may be made.
If you would like to chat to someone about the meetings or make any requests for prayer, please make contact via the Church Reception 511078.
