News - Organ Recitals 2009
Following the success of previous year's series of organ recitals at Morpeth Methodist Church on Howard Terrace a new series is being arranged for 2009.
As last time the concerts will start at 12.30pm on Friday lunchtimes, and last for about an hour.
Opening the series on Friday 1st May will be Richard Allum - Senior Organ Scholar, University College, Durham.
Later in the series organists will include:
- 5th June ~Joseph Causby - Durham Cathedral.
- 3rd July ~ Brian Varley - St Andrew's Church, Bishop Auckland.
- 31st July ~ Sarah Boutwood - St Mary's Church, Monkseaton.
- 28th August ~ Simon Earl - Newcastle Cathedral.
- 25th September ~ Shaun Turnbull - Director of Music St George's Church Cullercoats.
Admission at the door £6
(Concessions £5, School students free)
Includes light refreshments after the concert at 1.30pm
