The premises have been recently refurbished to a high standard and have disabled access to all but two rooms in accordance with the Disability Discrimination Act 2005. The Centre is regularly used by a wide range of church and community groups.
The 8 person lift serves all three floors of the building and can accommodate large electric wheelchairs. In addition, there is level access from outside to the ground and lower ground floors. Unisex disabled toilets and baby changing facilities are available.
We are able to provide a range of equipment including an overhead projector and screen, flipchart, sound system, internet connection, recording facilities, hearing loop and portable loop, television and video. Please ask if there is anything else your group needs and we'll do our best to accommodate you. Tea, coffee and light refreshments are available at a small charge. Catering can be arranged on request.
The Church and Centre are staffed Monday to Friday from 9.00 am till 10.00 pm (8.30 pm on Fridays). Access at weekends is by arrangement.

As well as being the heart of our church and the place where worship takes place, the Sanctuary provides a beautiful venue with comfortable seating for concerts, conferences and arts events and a platform suitable for use by choirs or orchestras.
We have an excellent sound system with microphones and lapel mikes which is made available to groups on request as well as variable and spot lighting. The room also has a loop system for the hard of hearing and a wheelchair lift allowing access to the platform.
The flexible seating means that the capacity of the room varies depending on the layout and the use being made of it but the Sanctuary can seat up to 240 people for a concert. We had a very nice comment from David Whetstone, culture editor of the Chronicle recently:
'Morpeth Methodist Church is a nice venue – more intimate, naturally, than the Sage and with a surprisingly clear acoustic. It was packed for this gig, even up in the gallery where the view was perfect.'
The Coffee Bar
One of our smaller rooms, the Coffee Bar makes a friendly setting for up to thirty people for formal meetings. It is also very suitable for informal social gatherings.
There is level access through wide doors to this room for people in wheelchairs or those pushing prams.
The Millennium Room
A pleasant room suitable for meetings of small groups for training, discussion or study. Broadband internet access can be arranged on request. Maximum occupancy 20.
Situated on our lower ground floor, this is an ideal venue for educational, training, health and fitness classes, youth and theatre workshops and small functions.
It is also suitable for children's parties, dancing - anything where more space is needed.
The Hall can accommodate a maximum of 275 people.
The Kitchen is an integral part of the Hall and is equipped to commercial catering standards, including cookers and a dishwasher. Crockery and cutlery for up to 100 people is available.
The Centenary Room
The Centenary Room, on the lower ground floor, is particularly suitable for workshops or training sessions. Seating can be arranged either in rows (giving a maximum capacity of about 40-50) or with tables for smaller groups, giving a ‘boardroom' layout.
The Pastoral Room
The Pastoral Room is a comfortable space for small groups or one-to-one sessions. Maximum occupancy 10.
